DLP Custom Kitchens proudly offers a wide range of custom built cabinet doors using the highest quality materials. We can create your dream kitchen without compromise — a truly unique design suited to your actual space, preferred layout, and individual style.
Wood Doors
Wood cabinet doors have a natural beauty and warmth that enhance any kitchen decor. Natural hardwoods and veneers display wonderful variations in grain and colour opening up a myriad of creative choices for the look of your kitchen. Wood doors are extremely durable and easy to maintain over the long term. By using these options of wood doors you can customize the stain or paint color and even the sheen from satin to high gloss. You also have the option of specialty finishes such as glazing and the distressed look..
- Solid Wood Doors (Solid 5 piece door using natural wood through the entire thickness of the door)
- Veneer Wood Doors (Natural wood surface laminated to a stable MDF core)
- Medium Density Fiberboard MDF (This door uses a solid piece MDF with your chosen style. There are no joints, and the door uses a melamine back)
Thermoplastic Doors
Thermoplastic Cabinet Doors are available in many colours and finishes.
The range of wood grains, high gloss, and solids allows for endless design possibilities. Thermoplastic doors offer a cost effective yet attractive choice for your kitchen or bathroom project. These doors are made by machining an MDF panel with a specific design and covered it with a unique thermoplastic foil creating a one piece door that is easy to clean and moisture resistant.
Drawers
At DLP Custom Kitchens we understand the importance of using superior quality materials to build drawers that will stand up to the everyday wear-and-tear in your kitchen today.
Our kitchen drawers are built with 5/8" thick material throughout. Choose melamine (white or maple color) pre-finished maple veneer plywood or solid wood with dovetailed sides. All my drawers use a 5/8” thick bottom and run on Blum under-mount drawer slides that carry the weight of the drawer from underneath the drawer bottom allowing much heavier for loads in your your drawers.
DLP kitchen drawers are custom built in our shop with 5/8” thick materials throughout creating a durable drawer box with an especially secure bottom panel.
We use Blum full-extension under-mount slides — known for their exceptional quality and long-term durability. These under-mount slides carry the weight of the drawer contents from under the drawer bottom instead of from the drawer sides. This allows us to use large drawers in the design without load restrictions.
Custom Built Drawer Box Options
- Melamine (White or Merrit Maple)
- Pre-Finished Maple (Pre-finished 5/8” maple veneer plywood with clean joints)
- Dovetailed Solid Wood (Solid wood with dovetailed joints)
Handles
Door and drawer handles are available in a limitless range of styles and price points. We can suggest suppliers with products to suit your individual kitchen design, or you can explore the many possibilities yourself. We are happy to consult with you in making your choice.
